Westchester County Proclamation 2009
March 2009 as Irish History and Heritage Month
On Thursday, March 5th. The AOH were the invited guests of the Westchester County Board of Legislators at their monthly meeting. Chairman Bill Ryan declared the month of March as “Irish History and Heritage Month” in Westchester County. County President Paul Clarke was presented a proclamation with about 11 Hibernians in attendance. The Legislators also presented a proclamation to Frank O’Brien of Division 11 Tarrytown in honor of his role as the Westchester County Aide to the Grand Marshal of the 248th NYC ST. Patrick’s Day Parade. NYS District Director John Hyland was also acknowledged for his contribution to promoting Irish Culture in Westchester County.
